TOYOTA INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT INTRODUCES
STARLIFT ALL-MAKE PARTS PROGRAM

TORRANCE, CA --Following the success of a pilot program with its dealer network, Toyota Industrial Equipment (TIE) is proud to announce the full-scale implementation of its STARLIFT program, which provides all-make parts support for material handling equipment. TIE is a division of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A.

With the program, Toyota, non-Toyota and mixed-fleet customers can now rely on a single source for all parts and service needs, greatly reducing the amount of time typically spent obtaining competitive estimates and the multiple-vendor sourcing of parts.

In addition to forklifts, STARLIFT provides all parts for all types of material handling equipment, including sweepers, scrubbers, personnel carriers, aerial work platforms, skid steer loaders, tow tractors, pallet trucks, attachments and other equipment and accessories.

The STARLIFT program, utilizing an extensive cross reference guide, maintains parts inventory at the Toyota Industrial Equipment Parts Distribution Center in Columbus, Indiana.

"Customers are the big winner with a program like STARLIFT because it helps TIE dealers become more efficient," said Joe Kastelic, national parts operations manager at TIE. "No matter what brands of material handling equipment a customer uses, they can obtain parts and service from a Toyota dealer for their entire fleet. In addition, we've passed along the savings of Toyota's volume purchasing power and parts cross reference to our dealers and customers."

In addition, dealer efficiency and response is increased because they can now rely on a central source for all-make replacement parts in addition to genuine parts from TIE. "Our dealers will spend less time trying to find a replacement part with STARLIFT because they will be working with just one source," added Kastelic.

STARLIFT customers can look forward to spending much less time working with multiple purchase orders, deliveries and invoices. In addition, they will spend less time tracking orders.

Toyota Industrial Equipment markets and distributes various classes of internal combustion and electric-powered forklifts in the U.S. The forklifts are sold through 92 dealers with 160 outlets throughout the country. Nearly 95 percent of the lift trucks sold by Toyota in the U.S. are manufactured domestically.

STARLIFT Parts is an all-make parts program offered by Toyota Industrial Equipment, a division of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc.
