"The Quality Dealer Award is the highest honor for a Toyota dealer," said John Turmell, group vice president and general manager for Toyota. "We had another strong year in what was supposed to be a less aggressive market in 1996, and these seven dealers are major contributors to our continued success. We feel that we have the best dealer network in the country among lift truck manufacturers. These elite dealers and the others that comprise our dealer network are one reason why we can say that we offer customers the best total package in the industry."

The award is presented annually to Toyota dealers that excel in important business performance categories. Dealers are evaluated in their day-to-day operations, and performance is measured in areas including facilities, sales, parts, service, financial strength and customer satisfaction.

A six-time winner of the award, Bill Skinner, Jr., principal of ProLift Industrial Equipment, says, "Our focus has always been on the customers and winning this award justifies the hard work of all our employeesit's reflective of our entire company's commitment to customer service. This award means a lot to ProLift because of the first-class dealer network that Toyota has assembled."

Each recipient of the award receives an elegant hand-cut, lead crystal globe for display in the dealership. Winners of the award will also appear in a special one-page, full-color advertisement created by Toyota to commemorate their achievements.
